Until you are fully convinced that God wants you to be well, there will always be a doubt in your mind as to whether or not you will be healed.
How Many Will God Heal?
● Until you are fully convinced that God wants you well, doubt will prevent perfect faith from existing.
● Without faith it is impossible to please God, and those who waver in doubt should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
● Knowing God’s will concerning sickness provides the foundation on which perfect faith can act.
● God is not a man that He should lie, and He has never broken a single promise He has ever made.
● God announced Himself as the healer of His people with the words, “I am the Lord who heals you.”
● Three million Israelites believed God’s word, and every one of them who needed healing was made perfectly whole.
● There was not one feeble person among their entire tribe, proving that healing was for all who believed.
● If healing was true for Israel under the old law, it is much more true for you who live under grace and truth.
● Theological tradition hinders many Christians from receiving healing by teaching them to accept sickness as God’s will.
● Disease persists among Christians today because they do not believe what God has spoken about healing.
● Many have changed God’s “I am” to “I was,” but God is still the healer today.
● The only reason three million Israelites became well was that they believed what God said and acted upon it.
Always remember: You are included in the our of Matthew 8:17, and God is bound by His covenant to continue to heal all who are sick and weak, in order to fulfill Isaiah’s words.
Healing for All
● The greatest barrier to faith for many seeking healing is uncertainty about whether it is God’s will to heal all people.
● It is impossible to boldly claim a blessing by faith if you are not sure God offers it to you.
● To know what is in a person’s will, you read the will; to know God’s will on any subject, you read His will.
● The Bible contains God’s last will, bequeathing to us all the blessings of redemption.
● Jesus is not only the testator who died but also the mediator of the will and our advocate at God’s right hand.
● Jesus was the physical expression of the Father’s will and acted out God’s will for all people during His earthly ministry.
● Everything Jesus did for needy humanity was a direct revelation of God’s perfect will for the human race.
● Among all those who sought healing from Christ, only one outcast leper prayed with “If it be your will,” and Jesus immediately corrected his uncertainty by saying, “I will.”
● Jesus’ answer to the leper settles it forever: God will heal the sick, and if He wills to heal one, He wills to heal all.
● The words “whoever,” “as many as,” “everyone,” “all,” and “any” are used to invite the sick and diseased to be healed, just as “whoever” invites the unconverted to be saved.
● God does not show favoritism like human parents; when we meet the same conditions, we reap the same results.
● Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and He still heals all who come to Him.
● Great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all; as many as touched Him were made perfectly whole.

● Paul preached Christ, and a lame man received faith to be healed while listening to Paul’s message.
● Wherever healing is taught as God’s provision for all, faith is always imparted, and people are always healed.
● Healing is part of the gospel and is to be preached throughout all the world and to every creature to the end of the world.
● Being part of the gospel, the divine blessing of physical healing is for all people.
With positive knowledge of the will of God, we do not pray: ‘Lord, heal me, if it be Your will.’ That implies doubt, and doubt cancels faith.
Reasons for Faith
● Many recognize divine healing as a fact but have no personal knowledge of Jesus as the Savior of the body.
● People question whether healing is God’s will for them personally and often wait for a special revelation.
● The Bible already reveals God’s will regarding healing, so no special revelation is needed beyond His word.
● God declared Himself to be the healer of His people when He gave Israel a statute and ordinance for healing.
● God promised to permit none of the diseases upon Israel that He permitted upon the Egyptians.
● Throughout Israel’s history, they turned to God in repentance and received healing in answer to their prayers.
● If healing in answer to prayer was God’s way under the old covenant, it is much more prevalent under the new covenant.
● Christ’s healing was not just to prove His divinity but to fulfill His commission and do the will of God.
● Jesus is a revelation of God’s will and healed all who came to Him because that was the Father’s will.
● Jesus has an unchanging priesthood and is the same in love and power as when He healed the multitudes.
● Jesus was always moved with compassion and healed all who needed healing, and He remains our merciful high priest today.
● Compassion and mercy mean the same thing in Scripture, and Jesus is both merciful and compassionate.
● Christ commissioned the twelve disciples and later the seventy to heal, and these commissions were given to all who believe.
● These commissions have never been revoked and continue for the church today.
● Healing in answer to the prayer of faith was the only way of healing known to the early church.
● A thread of healing has run through all the ages to the present day.
● God has provided healing through Christ’s redemptive work, and the Hebrew word rendered “griefs” in Isaiah 53 is translated “sicknesses” elsewhere in the Bible.

● If Christ has borne our sicknesses, we should not bear them ourselves.
● Sin and sickness are intimately connected throughout Scripture, and from both we have redemption through the blood and stripes of Jesus.
● All that God has given us is given through Christ for whoever will meet the conditions and believe the word.
● God leaves no one out and is no respecter of persons; His promises are to all.
● James asks, “Is any sick among you?” not “some” or “a few.”
● Healing is promised through the power of the Holy Spirit, and God has no other way for His people.

● We must know God’s will so we can take by faith whatever He has promised in His word.
● When our will meets His will, the work is done, and healing is accomplished.

Why More Do Not Get Healed
● Faith comes by hearing the word of God and is never derived through sympathy or discussing pains and aches.
● Faith is born when we hear the truth, and Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
● To see people delivered from disease, we must teach them the part of God’s word that sets them free from disease.
● The truth is that Christ wills every person to be healed, or He would not have taken the stripes by which we were healed.
● The reason more people do not get healed is the lack of teaching and preaching the Bible truth of healing.
● We should declare war on every form of sickness and take authority over every form of demon power through Jesus’ name.
● If salvation is for all, then healing is for all, because we have been taught salvation is for all who believe.
● Had we been taught healing for the body as positively as we have been taught spiritual salvation, people would believe for healing the same way.
● If God worked miracles in times past but will not do the same today, then He would be a God who was, and not a God who is.
● Right now God is saying, “I am the Lord who heals you,” and He will be saying the same thing tomorrow.
● Healing in the Bible is physical as well as spiritual, and both sin and sickness result from Adam and Eve’s disobedience.
● Salvation and healing are both blessings included in our redemption, provided by one sacrifice and one substitute.
● To say “healed” or to say “saved” means the same thing when speaking of deliverance from sin and sickness.
● It would be incomplete for an unsaved person to be saved from sin but not healed of sickness after hearing this truth.
● In worldwide crusades, we always preach the two-fold provision and tell people to accept Jesus as healer and savior at the same time.
● Body and spirit are delivered together when people believe that Jesus heals them of sickness and saves them from sin.
● Paul says we are bought with a price and should glorify God in both body and spirit.
● Jesus told the man with palsy, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven,” and when he took up his bed and walked, his sins left with his sickness.
● Jesus asked, “Which is easier to say, Your sins are forgiven, or Arise, and take up your bed and walk?” because the remedy for both was provided in the same sacrifice.
● The word “saved” in Romans 10:9 is the same Greek word (sozo) used for “healed” and “made whole” throughout the New Testament.
● We do not tolerate sin because Jesus bore our sins, and we do not need to tolerate sickness because Jesus bore our sicknesses.
● If Jesus bore our sins and sicknesses, we need not bear them; if we must bear them, then Jesus’ bearing them was useless.
● Christians are often taught they were redeemed from sin but must continue to suffer sickness because it may not be God’s will to heal them.
● Disease destroys the very body bought with the price of the Son of God, and this is not reasonable.
● When asked if it is God’s will to heal them, people often say they do not know, but we should ask if it is God’s will to keep His promise.
● The reason more people are not healed is the lack of preaching and teaching these truths.
● Faith comes by hearing the word of God, so we must teach scriptural truths to build faith for physical healing.
● How many would be saved if they only heard messages about maybe not being saved or sin being for God’s glory?
● Yet these are the only points many sick people hear about God’s provision for physical healing, so it is easy to understand why many are not healed today.
When Jesus says, whatever you ask the Father in my name, He is giving us a signed check on the resources of heaven, and asking us to fill it in. What a privilege.
Asking the Father in Jesus’ Name
● We have a right to ask the Father for healing in the name of Jesus Christ and receive healing.
● If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us, and healing is certainly His will for all.
● If you are suffering from sickness, you have a right to ask the Father for healing.
● Whatever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive it, and you shall have it.
● Our asking must be in Jesus’ name, and there is power in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
● God has given Jesus a name which is above every name, and at that name every knee should bow.
● Beings in heaven, earth, and under the earth must all bow to the name of Jesus.
● That name holds dominion over Satan and his entire kingdom.
● Smith Wigglesworth saw a dying man healed simply by repeating the name of Jesus over and over.
● Peter said to a crippled man, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk,” and the man walked.
● Paul commanded a demon in Jesus’ name to come out of an insane woman, and she was perfectly restored.
● Jesus left His name with us, and we have the right to use it.
● Satan is commanded to respect that name which is above every name, and his entire kingdom must obey our command given in Jesus’ name.
● Jesus conquered sin, Satan, disease, death, hell, and the grave, and we use His name by His authority.
● When Jesus gave us the right to use His name, the Father knew all that name would imply when breathed in prayer.
● The possibilities involved in that name are beyond our understanding.
● Jesus is giving us a signed check on the resources of heaven and asking us to fill it in.
● You may receive healing through that name because people are saved through that name.
● In that name, the lame, impotent, and helpless are made to walk again.
● Jesus said, “In my name they shall cast out devils,” and Paul proved this prophecy true years later.
● We are taught to do all in the name of the Lord Jesus and give thanks in His name.
● We are instructed to anoint the sick in the name of the Lord and to believe on the name of His Son.
● The name of Jesus touches every phase of the Christian’s life, yet many are unlearned about this because they have been untaught today.
● When we pray in Jesus’ name, it is as though Jesus Himself were doing the praying, and He takes our place.
● The answer is sent to us from the Father, and we rejoice in His provision.
● If you need healing, you may ask the Father for it in Jesus’ name, believe He hears you, and your sickness will leave.
Anytime you hear the word of God and give heed to it, you will have your own faith – the faith that will set you free. That is always better than depending on the faith of someone else.
If Two of You Shall Agree
● Jesus said, “If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”
● Where two or three are gathered together in His name, Jesus is there in the midst of them.
● There is strength in unity, and two are better than one.
● If one falls, the other can lift them up, but woe to the one who is alone and has no one to help them.
● Two can stand back to back and conquer, and three is even better because a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
● One can chase a thousand, but two shall be able to put ten thousand to flight.
● Jesus appointed seventy disciples and sent them two by two into every city and place.
● God separated Barnabas and Saul for the work, demonstrating the value of partnership in ministry.
● Peter and John were seen by the lame man, and through the strength of their united faith, the miracle was done in his body.
● Where any two agree on earth as touching anything they ask, it shall be done for them by the Father in heaven.
● We have proven this true in many cases where victims of disease could not grasp faith for themselves.
● When two agree—not only in words but in spirit—the sick recover.
● This is not necessary when one person can hear the word of God and exercise their personal faith, which is always the best.
● Faith comes by hearing the word of God, and tens of thousands have received healing during crusades by hearing and believing the word.
● A man arose to find his rupture gone, a lady discovered her arthritis and varicose veins healed, and a blind woman received her sight while hearing the word.
● Anytime you hear the word of God and give heed to it, you will have your own faith that will set you free.
● This is always better than depending on the faith of someone else.
● However, when a person is unable to reason or too sick to grasp these truths, two believers can agree in prayer, and the promise is that it shall be done.
● John wrote to Gaius, “I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.”
● Christians do not doubt that God wills to save every unsaved person, and it is also God’s will to heal every sick person.
● God’s will is to heal all, regardless of how incurable, if the sufferer will look to Him and believe His word.
● You have a scriptural right to be healthy and strong.
● According to the Bible, death for God’s child is simply: “You take away their breath, they die, and return to the dust.”
● This does not mean you must die with cancer or any other form of disease.
● The child of God is redeemed from the curse of the law, a part of which is disease.
● The Bible ideal for death is: “You shall come to your grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn comes in its season.”
● Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and many others died in this way.
Every person who is sick has a Bible right to call for the elders of the church and to be healed – and, if necessary, to be saved at the same time.
Anointing with Oil
● James instructs: “Is any sick among you? Call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over the sick, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord.”
● This is an unmistakably clear promise of healing for the sick.
● The disciples did this, casting out many devils and anointing with oil many that were sick, and healing them.
● The word “affliction” in James 5:13 has no reference to physical disability; it means trouble, persecution, hardship, or tribulation.
● Those enduring persecution or trouble should pray themselves and not call for the elders.
● James boldly asks, “Is any sick among you?” without inferring that healing is only for a few favored ones.
● Every person who is sick has a Bible right to call for the elders and to be healed.
● Healing is for you, and you have a right to health in your body as well as in your soul.
● The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise them up.
● The prayer of faith is the only prayer that will be effective in obtaining healing for the sick.
● One cannot pray the prayer of faith while entertaining thoughts that God might want to take the person home or teach them a lesson through sickness.
● This is the attitude in which many prayers for the sick are prayed, which explains why so many fail to receive healing.
● Paul says, “Christ is the savior of the body,” and “The body is for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.”
● Your bodies are the members of Christ and the temple of the Holy Ghost.
● We should glorify God in our body and in our spirit, which are God’s.
● The body is for the Lord, not for ourselves or Satan, and it was not created for disease and sickness.
● We need not tolerate sickness and disease in the body any more than sin in the spirit.
● Sickness is sin to the body; sin is sickness to the spirit.
● Stand fast in the liberty by which Christ has made us free.
● Settle it forever: it is God’s will for you to be well.
● Claim the promise, act on His word, and arise out of your doubts and fears to find health springing forth speedily.
● The prayer of faith cannot be prayed while elders wonder if it is God’s will to heal this one or that one.
● Ask in faith, nothing wavering, for the one who wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
● Let not that person think they shall receive anything of the Lord.
It makes no difference whether or not you have a feeling. The word of God is superior to your feelings. It is written, They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. That word is always true. Whether feeling comes or not, healing always comes.
The Laying On of Hands
● Jesus commissioned His followers to go into all the world and do as He commanded, and this commission is still in effect.
● Jesus promised, “They shall lay hands on the sick, and they (the sick) shall recover.”
● These signs shall follow them that believe: they shall cast out devils and lay hands on the sick.
● Any believer can lay hands on the sick, and the promise is that the sick shall recover.
● A believer acts on the word of God, not merely one who agrees that the word is true.
● God never tells us to do something that we cannot do.
● Obtaining the fulfillment of His promise is more a matter of obedience than of conscious faith.
● Faith is doing what God tells us to do, then expecting God to do what He tells us He will do.
● Noah built the ark, and God flooded the earth; Moses stretched out the rod, and God parted the waters.
● Joshua marched around Jericho, and God pushed the walls down; Elijah smote the waters, and God parted them.
● Elisha threw the stick in the river, and God made the iron swim; Naaman dipped seven times, and God healed the leprosy.
● God says, “You do a small thing; I will do a large thing. You do a foolish thing; I will do a wise thing.”
● Do what God tells you to do, then expect God to do what He said He would do; that is faith.
● The author and his wife went to India as missionaries but could not convince Hindus and Muslims that Jesus is God’s Son.
● They returned to America feeling defeated but fasted and prayed for God to show them the answer.
● Jesus Christ awakened the author in a dramatic experience, and he knew Jesus is alive and more than a religion.
● A man of God with a gift of healing came to their area, and they witnessed hundreds accept Christ and be healed.
● They saw the blind, deaf, dumb, and cripples healed instantly before their eyes.
● A thousand voices seemed to say, “You can do that. That is what Peter and Paul did. That is what Jesus did.”
● The author and his wife made a new pact with God to read the New Testament as if they had never read it before.
● They resolved to believe everything they read and to do whatever Jesus told His followers to do.
● They would act upon His written word just as prophets acted upon His spoken word in Bible days.
● Through that decision, they discovered the authority we have in the name of Jesus and the power over Satan’s kingdom.
● For nearly four decades in 70 nations, they have seen tens of thousands of amazing miracles in their mass crusades.
● God’s word becomes simple when we regard every word as true and act accordingly.
● Everywhere that believers lay their hands on the sick in faith, the sick recover, and we should expect nothing less.
● Jairus asked Jesus to lay hands on his daughter, and Jesus took her by the hand and raised her from the dead.
● Jesus laid hands on a woman bowed over with a spirit of infirmity, and immediately she was made straight.
● Paul laid hands on the father of Publius sick with fever and bloody flux, and healed him.
● If you are a believer, the power of God dwells in you, and it is this power that heals the sick when hands are laid on them.
● Sometimes healing is accompanied by feelings of life pouring through the body, and other times there is no feeling.
● It makes no difference whether or not you have a feeling because the word of God is superior to your feelings.
● Whether feeling comes or not, healing always comes when the word of God is believed.
● A lady came for prayer and said, “I never got blessed, but I got healed,” and later became happy about her healing.
● Do not expect feeling—expect healing, because healing is always better than feeling.
● When the sick base their faith on the word of God exclusively, they have won the victory.
● As long as you talk in terms of what you feel, you do not yet comprehend faith in the word of God.
● Those who determine if they are healed by their feelings never credit God’s word.
● A sick man was struggling to believe for healing based on someone’s “witness” or “feeling” rather than the word of God.
● Faith has nothing to do with feeling, and feeling has nothing to do with faith.
● Faith constantly attributes everything to what the word of God says, irrespective of pains, symptoms, or feelings.
● When asked how you feel, you should answer, “I am healed because the Bible says, They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
● Stand by God’s word, and God will stand by you.
● All the promises of God in Jesus Christ are yes and amen to the glory of God by us.
● When a believer lays hands on you in Jesus’ name, believe the word of God and believe that Jesus spoke the truth.
● It is written, “They shall recover,” and by faith you stand.
● Thank Him for healing from the very moment that the hands of believers are laid on you in Jesus’ name.
When the sick receive these cloths and lay them on their bodies in faith, as though the servant of God had laid hands on their bodies and had prayed, the same results will follow today.
Special Miracles by Faith
● The people in Asia believed that by taking cloths from Paul’s body, sick people would be healed and evil spirits would depart.
● God did special miracles by the hands of Paul, so that handkerchiefs or aprons from his body were brought to the sick.
● The diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out from them.
● God is no respecter of persons, and this ministry of sending cloths from God’s servants is still in effect today.
● Thousands of miracles are taking place through this simple act of faith.
● When the sick receive these cloths and lay them on their bodies in faith, the same results will follow today.
● It is as though the servant of God had laid hands on their bodies and had prayed.
● Sometimes we send cloths in the name of Jesus to people whom we cannot visit personally.
● If a sick person believes God’s promises and considers that the cloth represents our prayer and laying on of hands, the sickness will leave.
● We receive testimonies almost daily from those who have been healed through this act of faith.
Always remember: Satan cannot legally lay on us what God laid on Jesus. Christ became sick with OUR diseases that we might be healed. He knew no sickness until He became sick for us.
Healing in Redemption
● Isaiah declares, “Surely he has borne our griefs (sicknesses and diseases), and carried our sorrows (pains).”
● “He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
● Peter says, “Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live in righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.”
● Healing for the body is provided in the same redemption as salvation for the spirit.
● In redemption, there is both physical and spiritual healing.
● If you are saved, you should be healed; if you are healed, you should be saved.
● When you realize that healing is part of your personal salvation, you no longer need to call for elders or have hands laid on you.
● You accept Christ’s life for both body and spirit and know you are free from the bondage of both sickness and sin.
● You see your substitute, Jesus Christ, made sick and sinful for you.
● Neither sin nor sickness can ever be laid on you again because Jesus bore them all on the cross for you.
● You comprehend the truth: “Himself took our infirmities (weaknesses), and bore our sicknesses (diseases).”
● If Jesus bore your infirmities and sicknesses, you no longer need to bear them.
● If you need to bear them, then it was useless for Jesus to bear them.
● Christians do not need to be sick; God wants them to be well and strong.
● See your sins forgiven and your sicknesses healed; see deliverance for your body as well as your spirit.
● David sang, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases.”
● David says “forgives all” and “heals all” in the same breath.
● Join with Peter in saying, “Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree; by whose stripes you were healed.”
● When you come to know these vital truths, your sickness begins to melt away, and deformed limbs begin to straighten.
● You no longer take your place with Job of the Old Testament, thinking you must suffer sickness because Job suffered.
● You are living in the post-Calvary epoch under grace and truth, which sets you free from the curse of the law.
● A minister believed he must suffer sickness to prove his faith before God could use him in healing others.
● The author asked if he should prove himself faithful in sin to preach salvation to sinners.
● Jesus has already suffered for us, so we can all enjoy the redemption He has provided.
● E. W. Kenyon said, “Jesus bore our infirmities, our diseases and our sicknesses, and what He bore, we do not need to bear.”
● Satan cannot legally lay on us what God laid on Jesus.
● Christ became sick with our diseases that we might be healed.
● The object of Christ’s sin-bearing was to make righteous all who believe in Him.
● The object of His disease-bearing was to make well all who believe in Him as their disease-bearer.
● Disease makes slaves of those who care for the sick and robs them of joy and rest.
● Sickness is not of love, and God is love.
● Disease steals health, happiness, and money that we need for other things.
● Disease is our enemy and a robber; it is the will of hate and the will of Satan.
● If disease is the will of God, then heaven would be filled with sickness.
● Jesus was the exact image of the Father, and He went about healing all the sick.
● Disease and sickness are never the will of the Father; to believe they are is to be deceived by the adversary.
● Faith in God’s word always brings His complete answer.
● God said, “I am the Lord who heals you.”
● If three million people could believe it and find perfect health under the law, we who live under grace can be the healthy body of Christ.
Now that you know healing is God’s will for you, act on His word today. Stop doubting and start believing. Claim what Christ already purchased for you. Your healing is waiting for your faith to receive it.
