You Too Can Be Prosperous 1

God wants His children to be prosperous, but only few of God’s children have come to this place of prosperity. You probably know that it takes giving to receive. But is your faith working in this area as it should?

I have these few questions for you. Have you received from your givings? Do you know the Heavens exchange rate? How do you withdraw from your heavenly account? How do you give to ensure you can receive?

This month, I’ll be reviewing 3 books on meeting your needs and flourishing financially. I encourage you to read them. So you can enter into the realms of abundance God has already prepared for you.

The Laws of Prosperity by Kenneth Copeland

The first of these books is “The Laws of Prosperity” by Kenneth Copeland.

As usual, because this is a review. I’ll be highlighting some insights from the book, and leave the rest to you to devour.

For every man, there is prosperity for his spirit, soul, and body. The anchor for the realm of prosperity in man is his soul 3 John 1:2. These three are joined together by the word of God. In other words, you can only be prosperous to the degree of your knowledge of the word–the renewal of your mind.

There are spiritual and physical laws that govern our existence. Spiritual laws are higher than those of the Physical. Faith is a Spiritual Force. When we as believers engage the force of faith with Spiritual laws, we put the devil down where he bolongs. And because he is the god of the world when we engage a greater spiritual force (faith) he is a defeated foe.

The author did not use an outline to tell us about the Laws of Prosperity in this book. But he however, discourses in detail all he had learned from the Lord. And how he practically applied them to enter into prosperous realm.

Here are some of them;

1. You must not think of prosperity the way the world does.

E.g The world would love money instead of God to be prosperous. Naturally, they would seek possessions instead of seeking God first. The world sees before they believe.

2. Borrowing makes you a servant to the lender.

It makes you look to man as your source of supply. And this will separate you from your source. See my review on “Sowing & Reaping“.

3. True prosperity is using the power of God to change the lives of others. Financially, Spiritually, Materially and otherwise.

4. God will omeet your needs beyond your job.

The devil has deceived many believers to think that only God’s servants have access to receiving from other sources. But not all His servants are blessed. Also, God made the covenant of blessings with a farmer, not a preacher.

5. You change in value to God

When you become a channel through which others can be blessed through salvation, and meeting needs. You become valuable to God and dangerous to the devil.

6. A man without God in the world is a man without a covenant.

He has nothing to believe. He has nothing to rely on. Your heart must be established in God’s covenant of Prosperity. If you don’t know what God has said, there is no way He can reach you.

7. You must expect a return on every seed.

Many pay tithe and don’t believe in a reward. It takes meditation on God’s word for your prosperity to have faith for a return.

8. All the gold, silver and money is on the earth.

By giving, heaven declares a portion of it as yours. And no force can keep it away from you when you call for it. You must be conscious that your givings are deposits we can withdraw from when you need them.

9. Heaven’s exchange rate.

Heaven’s exchange rate is 100 fold of your givings. Mark 10:29,30, Luke 6:38.

There are 4 ways of giving or sending your deposits to heaven.

1. Tithes (which is the foundation of all others).
2. Giving to the poor.
3. Investing in the gospel, and
4. Giving in Praise or worship to the Lord.

You probably have lots of deposits in heaven or you intend to start depositing now. However your case, here are some steps to withdraw from your Heavenly account.

You need these 3 forces at work.

1. The power of agreement. (To stand in agreement with another person Matt 18:19
2. The Power of confession Mark 11:23 (if you can’t say it, you don’t believe yet.) and
3. The power of standing expectantly on the Word with thanksgiving.

An example of how to stand in agreement.

Father, in the Name of Jesus, we ask you for #_______. We have this money in our heavenly account and we are withdrawing this amount now. We believe we receive #________. As in Mark 11:23-24, we believe it in our hearts and confess now that it is ours in the Name of Jesus. We agree that we have #______ according to Matthew 18:19. From this day forward, we roll the care of this over on You and thank You for it.

Satan, in the Name of Jesus, we take authority over you; we bind your operation now and render you helpless. Ministering spirits, we charge you to go forth and cause this amount to come to us according to Hebrews 1:14. Father, we praise Your Name for meeting our needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus and for multiplying our seed for sowing in the Name of Jesus.”

Other important insights, you’ll find when you read the book for your self are;

  • How to pray when you give your tithes and all other seeds.

  • Hindrances to your faith, receiving from God. One of such is strife. Strife is a lack of love. It will hamper your faith, for faith works by love. Giving without love will profit you nothing.

  • Enjoying and sustaining a prosperous walk with God

“God is obligated to meet your needs because of His Word. Not because of your righteousness or your lack of it. But because of His covenant, brought into existence the day Jesus rose from the dead.”

You too can be prosperous, if you understand what it takes and engage it diligently. In this kingdom, how much you work isn’t the guarantee for prosperity. Living in the covenant does. The next book review will increase your understanding, so please don’t run off just yet. Ensure you get these books and read them.
