Beginning Your Walk With God
Being a Christian or bearing the title is not a guarantee that you know God. Many today are in Christ but are laden with their ambitions, hopes, and dreams, that they desire to realize outside Christ.
However, according to the author you will never come to the beginning of God, not until you come to the end of yourself. God doesn’t want just your time or your money. He wants you—your heart.
According to the author, man can in his errors delay God’s plan; but can’t make them come any quicker. He used Moses as an example; who was 40 years old when he killed the Egyptian, which was at the time 390 years in the calendar of God to deliver the Israelites.
That led him to the wilderness for 40 extra years. But at the end of those 40 extra years, Moses had come to the end of himself. At the burning bush, he had lost the prestige he once had as a prince in the land of Egypt. Which made him usable by God.

How God Leads Us
God leads his children in diverse ways. However, the most basic way he leads us according to the author is through the desires of our hearts.
Psalms 37:3-5
[3]Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
[4]Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
[5]Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
In his words, when we pray and sense that what ever desires we may be having in line with God’s word increase instead of diminish in our hearts, it time to let the peace of God guide us.
Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts…
From the above scripture, the author recommends that When you let the peace of God guide your heart, you can follow where he leads.
Mostly, we live in the assumption that God is somewhere in space, and there are some devils up there trying to stop us from getting to him. But that’s not true.
God now lives inside of us. It high time we begin to live in this consciousness. So if the desires stirred up in your heart are in the word, you can follow it.
Also, when we bring up an issue before God. Probably not knowing what turn to make or what to do. We are in dire need of his wisdom. Praying in the spirit, and asking God for wisdom on whatever the situation may be is what to do.
Then you can ask to receive an interpretation of the mysteries you pray in the language of the spirit. The answers soon come to us, because they already reside in our spirits.
How To Master The Path Of God’s Leading
Our ability to stay focus on God is what keeps us on the path of his leading.
Whatever we focus our attention on gets bigger in our hearts. So when you focus your attention on Christ, he is magnified in your thoughts, and whatever the issue you have going on becomes smaller.
Anytime our focus turns from Jesus—like Peter we begin to sink in the sea of life. When you turn your gaze from what the word demands from you and focus on the attitude of men, what they do or not do you soon find yourself sinking.
God’s love, grace, peace, leading, joy, and all he’s made available for you never stop flowing towards you. Too often you think the flow stopped or feel void when you switch your focus from God.
According to the Author, you can sustain the flow of all God has to offer when you:
1. Stop focusing on your problems
2. Begin to glorify God consciously
3. Rehearse your victories
4. Talk ceaselessly about how good God is.
As you do these, your problems no matter how gruesome, shrink down to nothing. No issue is greater than the ability of God to change it.
3 Steps To Walking Away From God & How It Affects You
From Romans 1:21 the author explained how we can walk away from God’s grace.
1. Not glorifying God.
2. Been Unthankful
3. Having a vain imagination
The first leads to the second and progressively people wander away from God’s love.
When we stop glorifying God for the good he has done, and it seems our present situation is all we have ever had in life. It will lead to the next phase of been unthankful.
We blame God in our hearts for whatever it is the Devil is doing. Gradually your imagination will begin to work against you.
Our imaginations are pictures of our thoughts. When your imagination becomes vain, all you imagine are negative thoughts, things that don’t bring glory to God. Soon, like seeds sown in the mind, these thoughts begin to find expression in your surroundings.
You need your imagination working positively as God wants it to by the word of God. This is what Hope is. A positive desire or expectation based on God’s word.
So don’t give the devil room to your imagination, by being unthankful and not glorifying God.
